Quick & Easy Valentine, Wedding or Anniversary Card

You know..sometimes when it comes to kickstarting creativity we all need a little help.  That's where great products like the Designer Cut & Envelopes  in the Occasions Mini come in.  The white card and the die cut heart (along with that super cute Blushing Bride envelope) are from this set.  Add a little paper in behind and a button, stamp a greeting and you are all set!  It's a five minute beauty...so much so that you have time to trick out your envelope and the back of your card with the P.S. I Love You Stamp Set:

The front of the envelope features the "sent with love" stamp from P.S. I Love You and I wanted to cover up the "feb 14th" so I used a punched 1/2 circle in Very Vanilla and then added a heart (smallest heart from the Heart to Heart punch) out of red glimmer paper.  So cute!

Take it to Heart - Elegant Valentine or Anniversary Card

The heart framelits strike again on this great card that you could easily adapt for anniversaries or weddings! The stamp set used here is Take it to Heart - don't you love this image? And check out the whole set:

Stampin' Up Supplies

• Stamps: Take it to Heart, P.S. I Love You
• Paper: Very Vanilla, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake
• Ink: Cherry Cobbler
• Accessories: Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding, Large Pearls, SNAIL, Glue Dots, Stampin' Dimensionals
• Tools: Big Shot,Heart Collection Framelits, Scallop Square Duo Die, Square Lattice Embossing Folder, Modern Label Punch

Step by Step Directions

1. Cut Cherry Cobbler card base to 5.5 x 8.5 and fold in half. Cut mat for card out of Crumb Cake cardstock to 4 x 5.25. Attach mat to the card with SNAIL.
2. Using Big Shot, cut larger scallop square out using Cherry Cobbler from Scallop Square Duo.
3. Cut Crumb Cake cardstock to 2.5 x 2.5 and emboss on Big Shot with Square Lattice Folder. Attach to scallop square with SNAIL.
4. Stamp image on Very Vanilla cardstock in Cherry Cobbler ink. Cut out on Big Shot using Heart Framelit. Adhere to scallop square with Stampin' Dimesionals.
5. Attach scallop square panel to card with SNAIL.  Tie a knot of of seam binding and trim. Attach to scallop square with glue dot.  Top off with pearl.
6. Stamp greeting from P.S. I Love You in Cherry Cobbler ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and then punch with Modern Label. Attach to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
7. You are done!

Valentine's Week - Day #1: Sprinkled Expressions Gift Enclosures

I love making tiny cards like these cuties! Today our first project in a week full of Valentine's Day projects with a twist. While the projects this week are geared towards celebrating love, they are also meant to be adaptable so you can use them all year long. 

Note - If you watched my Monday Message...the shovel project is on hold until later this week.  Apparently I don't own certain items I was certain I did...seriously? There's a stamp set I don't own - who knew?

• Ink: Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry
• Accessories: Melon Mambo Striped Ribbon, Large Cello Bag, Brights Designer Buttons, Glue Dots, SNAIL, Sticky Strip, Mini Square Envelopes
• Tools: Simply Scored

Step by Step Directions – Box

1. Cut Melon Mambo cardstock to 6.5 x 6.5
2. Using Simply Scored Tool, score on all four sides at 1.5
3. Cut along four of the lines to create “flaps”
4. Assemble box using Sticky Strip.

Step by Step Directions – Cards

1. Cut six pieces of Whisper White cardstock to 6 x 3 and then score at 3 on long side.
2. Cut six pieces of Whisper White cardstock to 2.75 x 2.75.
3. Stamp images and greetings as desired on square piece of cardstock. Attach to card base with SNAIL.
4. Attach buttons as desired using Glue Dots.
5. Slip finished cards, coordinating envelopes into box.  Wrap up with large cello bag and ribbon.

Outlined Occasions - Clean and Simple Card

Here's a super clean and simple card featuring the fun Outlined Occasions stamp set that you can earn for FREE during Sale-A-Bration. That's right totally free with a $60 or more purchase!

This card came together quickly using the heart pattened paper from the Sweet Shop Designer Series Paper Package along with some Island Indigo ink and cardstock as well as Whisper White Cardstock.  The greeting is stamped and then punched with the Decorative Label punch.  The addition of Island Indigo ruffled ribbon pulls it all together.

Mixed Bunch Glittery All Occasion Card (Leadership 2012)

Here's another Mixed Bunch card...and yes, I am addicted! This is one I created for both my team swap and an organized swap at Leadership. I am so excited that I got to participate in the swap organized by Lyssa, a US-based demonstrator. This swap features cards with a certain level of quality, which is what I like to see in my own creations, so I'm sure I'll have some lovely cards back. Lyssa, the swap organizer is an immensely talented stamper, so if you want to hop on over to her blog, Song of My Heart Stampers I'm sure you'll get lots of inspiration.

This card has a few little twists that step it up a bit - including the embossed flower which is done with the Irridescent Ice embossing powder, the In Color brad and the scallop ribbon which helps to anchor everything.  It goes to show that a card doesn't have to have 12 layers to be a winner - plus, who wants to pay postage on that? Lol - my quest to create one stamp cards continues! :)

Mixed Bunch Swap Card for Leadership 2012

Today's the first day of the Stampin' Up Leadership Conference in San Antonio...well sort of.  During the day is a "free" day, and then in the evening is our manager's reception.  Every year they treat us to something different, and this year, we are seeing the Acrobats of Hebei China Perform. I am sure it wil be spectacular...although I keep having flashes of watching "Circus with the Stars" as a child.  Lol - talk about a blast from the past!   During the day I am hoping to hit San Antonio's Riverwalk and the Alamo (history geeky girl alert). 

Enough chit chat, here's one of my swap cards for Leadership this year. This card features Mixed Bunch and the coordinating Blossom Punch. The striped paper along the bottom is from the Twitterpated Designer Series Paper in the Occasions Mini, which is versatile and the pictures in the catalog don't do it justice! Apothecary Art Framelit Card

Here's a quick and easy card featuring the Label Framelits, which have quickly become my new stamping best buddies!  Seriously...where have you been all my life? 

There's lots of layers on this card with the embossed background (Elegant Lines embossing folder), and then the two label framelits and the middle portion of the stamped focal point which was punched with the 1 inch circle punch and popped up. Basic pearls pull the whole card together for a simple, elegant look.

Meet Mixed Bunch!

This is one of my absolute favorite new stamp sets from the new mini called Mixed Bunch. Best of all it has a coordinating punch!   Here's the rundown on how to make this simple, but elegant card.

1. Cut Wisteria Wonder Cardstock to 8.5 x 5.5 and fold in half.

2. Cut Designer Series Paper from Sweet Shop package to 4 x 3.

3. Take Wisteria Wonder Bakers Twine and attach to the polkadot piece with SNAIL on the back of the sheet.

4. Stamp "friends" from Tiny Tags in Wisteria Wonder classic ink on Whisper White and punch out with Jewelery Tag punch. Attach to project with half of a Stampin' Dimensional.

5.  Attach polkadot piece to card base with SNAIL.

6. Stamp flower from Mixed Bunch in Wisteria Wonder ink on Whisper White cardstock.  Stamp centre image as above. Bunch flower with Blossom punch and centre with 3/4 circle. Attach centre to the flower with SNAIL. Set Polkadot brad through centre of flower.  Affix flower to card with Stampin' Dimensionals.

P.S. I Love You - Calypso Coral Valentine

This week I'm featuring cards from the P.S. I Love You Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini. You can check out yesterday's card by clicking here.

This is a very simple card, but packs a punch with an unconventional color combo and fun Designer Series Paper.  The paper is from the Sweet Shop package in the Occasions Mini and is full of fun, fun, fun designs!  The hearts from P.S. I Love You are stamped in Calypso Coral and punched with the Full Heart Punch. The "love you" is stamped and then the ribbon is tied around the mat layer.

• Calypso Coral Card base - 4.25 x 5.5
• Whisper White Mat - 4 x 5.25
• Designer Series Paper - 2 x 3.75

P.S. I Love You: New from the Occasions Mini!

This week I'm featuring cards from the P.S. I Love You Stamp Set in the Occasions Mini. This is a great set that is definitely one of my new favorites!  The "sent with love" stamp is perfect for pretty much any occasion - think outside beyond Valentine's Day - family, friends and anniversaries all come to mind!

The image was stamped in Real Red and then punched with the 1 inch square which is carrying over from the Holiday Mini catalog.  It is then layered on the Postage punch and beside it is the Scallop Heart of Hearts Embosslit! The background layer uses a great new product - an embossing folder designed for edges!  There's three in the package and you are going to love them as they are the perfect thing to add just a little extra wow factor.

The whole card is Very Vanilla which measures 4.25 x 8.5.  Simple, elegant and easy to mass produce!
