Can you tell I am in a fall kind of mood? This is a swap card I'm working on for an event that I am guest speaking at this weekend in Michigan. (Shh...don't spill the beans!) The Creative Convention is hostessed by my good friend Ronda Wade and she has 80 ladies from Michigan, Ontario and beyond coming in for the weekend for all kinds of Stampin' Up training and fun! I am so looking forward to being at an event and not being in charge! :) Plus, I get to go on a roadtrip with my good friend Kym which will help make a long drive short as I'm sure we won't be lacking things to discuss.
This card features a Z-fold opening which I created with the Simply Scored Tool. Creating a Z-Fold is simple! Cut your cardstock to 4.25 x 8.25 and then score it on the 8.5 side at 2.75 and 5.5 inches. See...easy peasy! The card design was inspired by a 3x3 card I received in a swap at Convention. Of course, in true Maggie fashion, I've removed all the info off those cards - so silly. If it is yours, claim it!
The rest of the card is pretty simple, just lots of layers:
- The front panel has the woodgrain paper from the Well Worn Designer Series Paper package cut to 2.5 x 4 inches and attached with SNAIL.
- The middle panel I stamped and then embossed with the Square Lattice Embossing Folder.
- The smaller one is created with the 1 inch square punch layered on the Postage Punch. Love this combo as cutting a 1 inch square is way too fiddly for my liking!
