Here's this week's kid's craft project....which is good for little and big kids! This is a key chain made using shrinkable plastic, craft ink and the Big Shot. You can find the sheets of shrinkable plastic at most craft stores, along with the key chain.
Here's how you do it:
Cut out the desired shape from the sheet of the shrinkable project using the Big Shot. This one is the large Scallop Circle die. Stamp the image in craft ink as desired. In this case, the eyes were colored in using craft ink and a blender pen. Punch a circle for the key chain loop with a small circle punch. Cook at 325 for about two minutes. Place the plastic on a paper bag in your oven. And...don't be alarmed, as you watch it cook it will warp and curl, but it should come out flat. Allow to cool and set aside for 24 hours to allow to dry. Think of all of the possibilities - you could make bag tags, jewellery and so much more!!! It's a great gift. I'm going to be making some tonight for my bags for convention next week! And here's a tip, when you are picking your shape remember the die shrinks to about 10% of its previous size....so look for bigger dies!
