Punched Creations - Reindeer Gift Tag

Here's one of the gift tags we made in my Christmas Punch Creations class a few weeks ago. You can see another one of the tags we made here.

Most of the punching here is self-explanatory, aside from the antlers. The main part is a sliver of the Wide Oval punch, and then the little parts are slivers of the 3/4 circle.  You may need to trim them with your paper snips.

I hope you enjoy this - tomorrow is five minute friday and I have another quick and easy project to share with you!

Supplies:

Stamps: Short and sweet, Christmas Punches

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Paper: Always Artichoke, Real Red, Close to Cooca, Whisper White, Basic Black

Accessories: Chocolate Chip Taffetta Ribbon, SNAIL

Punches: 3/4 circle, 1/2 circle, wide oval, boho blossom, double hole punch

Tools: Stampin Up Big Shot, Top Note Die

 
 

Punched Creations - My Little Elf!

 
  
I am all Halloweened out, at least for crafting purposes. So I'm moving on today to Christmas. I have been working on little Halloween treat boxes, and I need a break from thinking about all that candy!  Saturday I am having a fun class - a christmas tag class featuring punched creations.  If you'd like to join us - I have a couple spots left.  The class runs from 10 to Noon at my place. maggie@ilovepapercrafts.com

In preparing for this class, I was looking for a little elf, and couldn't find one I really liked, so I created my own. This punch art elf was created using the following Stampin Up punches - Five Flower Punch, 1 3/4 circle punch, Trio Flower, 1/2 circle, 1 1/4 square, Word Window and Double Hole Punch.  Easy peasy!

The Tag base is Real Red cut with the Clear circle on the Big Shot and then stamped with "very merry" from Short and Sweet.  The ribbon is the very yummy Mistletoe ribbon from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Have to post and run - lots to do today!  I have a Christmas card for you tomorrow that we are doing at our Papercraft Princesses team meeting tonight.

I have just added a new class to my schedule for this month - a christmas punch class.  This is the perfect class to learn more about punches and how to get more out of them, while getting ready for the holidays.  In this class you will be making five punched creations with a christmas theme, which we will be then using on gift tags. 

The class will take place in my Stamping Studio in South Mountain on Saturday October 31st from 10 a.m. to Noon.

This class is $35 and includes:

The punch of your choice from the current catalog - up to a $22.95 value (a total value of $28.00, making your class only $7!)
Detailed project instructions for each punched creation to take home so you can create them on your own
Five cute gift tags to take home so you are ready for the holiday season

If you can't make this class, it is available "to go" - all pieces will be pre-punched for you and instructions emailed to you. All you will have to do assemble your tags.  This option is $40 for local, or $45 anywhere in Canada - remember it includes a punch of your chosing as well!

Super Easy Punched Pumpkin Thanksgiving Card

Happy Friday. Very quick and easy card for you today!   I literally made this in less than 15 minutes, and it is a great way to use up your scraps! I've used the Cast A Spell designer series paper and done a little tearing and punching and voila - card ready to go.

Tips and tricks from this card:

• The card is 4x4 which is a great alternate format for your cards and will still fit in a standard size envelope.
• The tearing edge rule was used for the "grass". The bottom layer is SNAILed to the card, and the lower one is added with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out with the Word Window Punch
• The punched pieces for the pumpkin are the large oval punch, and I adhered them to a 1 3/8 circle punch to give them stability.  The middle punched piece is added with Stampin Dimensionals. The stem is then just adhered to the back of the panel with SNAIL.

Punched Creations Class - Back by Popular Demand (Friday August 28th)

 

Do you love Stampin' Up's punches, but want to get more out of them?  Then this is the perfect class for you.  Making punched creations is fun for everyone - and think of how much the kids in your life would enjoy making them once you learn how!  They are a great addition to a card, scrapbook page or other projects.

 

In this class, we will make 15 punched creations all designed by the fabulous Heather Summers. We make a bunch of critters along with some other fun items.  Each participant will get instructions on how to make each creation, along with the opportunity to create one - you will have 15 pages to take home for future reference and all of your little cuties too.

 

When: Friday August 28th , 8 p.m.

 

Where: Maggie's place, South Mountain

 

Cost: The cost for this class is $25 (with $5 off for my team members), and all participants can order punches at a discount on the day of the class as my thank you for attending.

Circle Circus Card

Here's a card featuring the new Circle Circus stamp set, along with Rich Razzleberry and Melon Mambo.  It's a case from a card on a Stampin Up demo mailing list I'm on, Sudsol - but I can't remember from who (if it's yours let me know!).
