Flower XL Punch Strikes Again - Simple Birthday Card

I am really challenging myself to actually use up my patterned paper, so I'm not hesitating to use it as a mat for my card!  Expect to see lots more designer series paper in the next few weeks as I work through my stack! 

I've used the flower patterned paper from the Sending Love Designer Series paper package.  I love this paper, and it really is for more than Valentine's day!  It uses fun and fresh colors that really pop for spring - a nice change from the pastels. 

Tips and tricks for this card:

• The ticket corner punch adds visual interest to the chocolate chip mat for the main image
• The greeting comes from the Vintage Labels set for Sale-A-Bration. You can earn this set for free until the end of March.
• The 1 inch and 1 1/4 inch circle punch fit perfectly on the flower XL punch.

I am VERY excited as tonight  I'm going to an event with about 125 other demonstrators and Stampin' Up's CEO Shelli Gardner!   My stamping buddy Kim was one of 24 demonstrators from across North America to earn the opportunity to have Shelli come to their home town.  Kim is truly one of the nicest people I've met through Stampin' Up, and an amazing leader within our team. She has worked very hard in the past few weeks to share this opportunity with all of us, and I am so thankful for her generosity!  I will post pictures from the event in the next few days.  More reasons to love Stampin' Up - if you'd like to join my team, I'd love to talk to you!

Punch Flower Thank You Card

Happy Monday. Quick and easy thank you card today.  I love how the new XL Jumbo Flower Punch coordinates with the stem from the Sweetheart stamp set!  To get the flower, I stamped it with the Dot, Dot, Dot stamp set, punched it with the Jumbo Flower, and then crinkled it up.  

Tips and Tricks:

• The edge was ripped with the Tearing Edge ruler and then lined with Designer Series paper from the Sale-A-Bration Welcome Home Paper Package
• The flower centre is done with a 3/4 inch circle of Melon Mambo, and topped off with a Pretty in Pink Epoxy Brad
• The thank you is from the With All My Heart Stamp Set and stamped in Melon Mambo cardstock

Punched Creations - Reindeer Gift Tag

Here's one of the gift tags we made in my Christmas Punch Creations class a few weeks ago. You can see another one of the tags we made here.

Most of the punching here is self-explanatory, aside from the antlers. The main part is a sliver of the Wide Oval punch, and then the little parts are slivers of the 3/4 circle.  You may need to trim them with your paper snips.

Supplies:

Stamps: Short and sweet, Christmas Punches

Ink: Chocolate Chip

Paper: Always Artichoke, Real Red, Close to Cooca, Whisper White, Basic Black

Punches: 3/4 circle, 1/2 circle, wide oval, boho blossom, double hole punch

Super Easy Punched Pumpkin Thanksgiving Card

Happy Friday. Very quick and easy card for you today!   I literally made this in less than 15 minutes, and it is a great way to use up your scraps! I've used the Cast A Spell designer series paper and done a little tearing and punching and voila - card ready to go.

Tips and tricks from this card:

• The card is 4x4 which is a great alternate format for your cards and will still fit in a standard size envelope.
• The tearing edge rule was used for the "grass". The bottom layer is SNAILed to the card, and the lower one is added with Stampin' Dimensionals.
• The greeting is from Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out with the Word Window Punch
• The punched pieces for the pumpkin are the large oval punch, and I adhered them to a 1 3/8 circle punch to give them stability.  The middle punched piece is added with Stampin Dimensionals. The stem is then just adhered to the back of the panel with SNAIL.

Punched Creations Class - Back by Popular Demand (Friday August 28th)

 

Do you love Stampin' Up's punches, but want to get more out of them?  Then this is the perfect class for you.  Making punched creations is fun for everyone - and think of how much the kids in your life would enjoy making them once you learn how!  They are a great addition to a card, scrapbook page or other projects.

 

In this class, we will make 15 punched creations all designed by the fabulous Heather Summers. We make a bunch of critters along with some other fun items.  Each participant will get instructions on how to make each creation, along with the opportunity to create one - you will have 15 pages to take home for future reference and all of your little cuties too.

 

When: Friday August 28th , 8 p.m.

 

Where: Maggie's place, South Mountain

 

Cost: The cost for this class is $25 (with $5 off for my team members), and all participants can order punches at a discount on the day of the class as my thank you for attending.

Punch Bunnies!

 

Here's some treat bags I made with my son for him to give to his teachers and grandparents. I got the idea from my upline Josee, and modified the design a bit.  He had a great time punching all the shapes, stamping the greetings and drawing on the cute little faces! We used the top note die with the Big Shot, and medium cello bags.

Punches: Scallop circle, scallop oval, trio flower, curly label, 1 1/4 circle punch.
