One of the absolute coolest things I took away from the Stampin' Up event this past weekend is all the ideas for how those of us who sew and quilt can incorporate the Big Shot's die cuts into our creations! Above is a quilt showed by the SU team from Salt Lake where they added chenille flowers cut out with the Bigz Clear Flower die. Now, I'm not a big sewer by any means, but I'm pretty excited about the idea of using these shapes on all types of things to create unique home-made gifts and items for around the home. Both my mother and mother in law are avid sewers and I can totally see all the possibilities of the Big Shot in their creations.
Here's a t-shirt that was shown at the event made with the Bigz Flower Layer with Leaves die:
This is just another way that shows how versatile the Big Shot really is - a tool that we can use for sewing, papercrafting, school projects, and lots more. And don't forget - time is running out on being able to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration rewards when you buy a Big Shot (2 free gifts with the machine only, or 3 sale-a-bration gifts, $20 in free merchandise, 1 hostess set with the purchase of hte starter kit). And when you purchase a Big Shot from me, you join my Big Shot Club where you get three exclusive classes whre you learn to use your Big Shot for cards, 3-D items and gift items! More info on the Big Shot promo through March 31st is available here - or you can email me to order yours today.
I'll have a few of my own sewing/Big Shot combo projects coming up on the blog in the next couple weeks. I just need to make a trip to the fabric store and then put my mom to work! :)
