Here's a wedding card set I recently made, and I wanted to share it for a few reasons. I love how the tin turned out, the new movers and shapers dies are awesome, and it's just too cute as a set for a special occasion.
The accent color here is Perfectly Plum, which I adore, and I figured is a great wedding color. And yes, I did happen to use purple as my wedding color. I figure that I can't really help it. Purple was the color of all the teams at my elementary school and then at my university. When the term "get purple" is used frequently, you learn to love the color no matter what! *LOL*
To emboss the tin
- The tin is stamped using versamark, and then covered with silver embossing powder. This is one of the flower images from the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set. It is then heat set - and important safety tip - it gets hot fast, so be careful!!! This is a skinny tin which can be ordered from Stampin' Up and is the size of a CD.
- The tag is made using the wide oval and the new modern label punch.
Movers and Shapers Card
- Place modern label insert onto movers and shapers die in desired position. The new catalog includes four new inserts for the Movers and Shapers - the modern label here, as well a heart, scalloped oval and star - and they all match the coordinating punches! (If you never buy another die again - you need this one...especially when more magnetic inserts are coming soon!)
- Place cardstock over die and run through your Big Shot machine. The paper will be cut, scored and die cut. Trim card base slightly so it will fit into your tin.
- Stamp flower image on top half of cardstock in Perfect Plum. Cover bottom half with patterned paper - this is a retired paper, but you could easily substitute the new Bride/Groom/Bridesmaid Specialty paper instead.
- Round bottom corners of card base using corner rounder punch.
- On inside of card stamp flower image as desired.
- Stamp greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Perfect Plum classic ink on Whisper White cardstock. Punch out using Modern Label punch.
- Attach punched piece on inside of card so it lines up with piece cut out of card base.
